Become a Yachty Gras Sponsor for our 2025 parade!

Every year the Yachty Gras season starts with a Kickoff Party around 2 to 3 weeks prior to Mardi Gras. The Grand Night Boat Parade follows the first weekend of Mardi Gras.  Because Mardi Gras dates change as Easter changes, our parade dates are never the same year after year.  So it is up to us to make sure the word is out each and every year as much as possible.  We can do this more effectively when we have great partners where we can help each other grow and gain market exposure.  
 

At the parade, boats are decorated in different themes for Mardi Gras.  Beads are thrown to the crowds along the Kemah Boardwalk.  At Bubba Gumps in the Boardwalk, the V.I.P. Party is held for the judging of the boats in the parade. All of the local Mayors, City Council, State and Federal Congressional people and sponsors are invited for judging of the boats, along with our sponsors. The following morning is an Awards Breakfast at the Aquarium where we get to see who stole the show!

 

In the months leading up to the parade, we do Chamber of Commerce events, boat shows, other holiday parades, charity events, and Yachty Gras out and about events where we can promote local cities, bring tourism, and promote our partners however and whenever possible.

These events conclude with Keels & Wheels which is a special car and boat show at Lakewood Yacht Club the first week of May.
